Another thing to note is that you might already be planning a career in a totally different field - that's absolutely fine - it's worth remembering that if you are into sports for the extra-curricular side of things - our partners have fantastic world class sports facilities - some have even had Olympians train in them and study at them!
A-List English Cricket Captain, Andrew Strauss studied Economics and graduated from University of Durham where he achieved a 2:1. Having played cricket while in University he continued it as a career and made his first class debut in 1998.... Can you consider active sports during your years abroad and follow it as a career later?
Kristi Yamaguchi is a 1992 Olympic Gold medalist for women's figure skating. She has also won several other national and international figure skating championships. After retiring from competitive sport she set up a nonprofit foundation geared towards children and she has also written 2 children's books. In 2006 she was a US TV commentator for figure skating. Now she is further pursuing her dreams further by delving in into the fashion world as owner and designer. She will launch her clothing line this year which will include active wear T-shirts, jackets and yoga pants. Are you an entrepreneur in the making?
