Under the new Point Based System (PBS) which came onto effect from 3Oth June 2008, international students who have studied in the UK, can work in the UK for up ro 24 months upon completion of their studies. If they want to remain in the UK beyond this time, they can switch to an appropriate immigration category to pursue their career, provided they meet the relevant requirements.
