Victor Rajeevan is a versatile marketeer taking up his responsibilities at PFL Australasia Division as Business Development Director from the 1st of September 2010. He has just completed two years of duties at La Trobe University, Australia as Associate Director at the International Office. During his time he has headed the division in its work in emerging markets such as Middle East, Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Libya and Turkey for all international activities including marketing, recruitment, business development and international partnerships. Further he was responsible for developing the international operations in La Trobe University’s all five regional campuses.

EDUCATION
Being educated in Sri Lanka and the UK, he has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Lincoln – UK , Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing - The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) – UK, Advanced Diploma in Business Administration - The Association of Business Executives (ABE) – UK and Advanced Certificate in Accounting - The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) – UK.

EXPERIENCE
Victor has nearly 20 years of hands on experience working in many countries such as Australia, Dubai, Oman, Singapore, Sri Lanka, UK and USA, in areas such as banking, IT and accounting of which has been in the education sector for more than 11 years. Prior to joining La Trobe, Victor has worked with the Monash University (Australia), Northwood University (USA) & Missouri University of Science & Technology (USA), Heriot-Watt University and Oxford Brookes University in the UK and NC-UK consortium including Manchester University, Liverpool University and Sheffield University and has proved his strengths and excelled well beyond expectations.

STRENGTHS
One of his major strengths is the exposure and in-depth knowledge that he has gained through working with all 3 major players in the International Higher Education sector namely the US, UK and Australia. He has a very strong and maintained network with Agents, Scholarship Bodies, Government Authorities and relevant stake holders. His strength in the University education business and international student recruitment businesses are diversified and as a result he posses in depth knowledge of the Australian Higher Education system.

SKILLS PARTICULAR TO AUSTRALIA
Victor’s experience in the Australian education system has given him great exposure and experience in overall aspects of the education systems including government policies such as the ESOS Framework, National Code and how it effects international students from the agent’s and provider’s perspective. He is familiar with the categories of recruitment for different countries, visa processing and the recent developments of the Australian immigration rules and has participated in work shops conducted by the Australian High commission and AEI for these purposes.

He is a Former Member of British Council Policy Dialog Group for partnership for sustainability (UK and Sri Lanka) which is the UK Prime Minister’s Initiative for International Education (PMI2) for further education, Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing – MCIM (UK) and Fellow Member of the Association of Business Executives FABE (UK).
