PFL supports St Trizah School in conjunction with Derby County FootbalI Club
In June 2014, PFL Kenya organised a farewell dinner at Fogo Gaucho for volunteers who came down from UK to assist with St. Trizah School in Nakuru. In support of underprivileged children, African Adventures send a number of volunteers annually to work at St. Trizah School. DCFC in conjunction with PFL Education assists in running the school and catering for the students.
Funds raised by Derby County via the power of football
Being a home school for 475 children including 60 orphans living on sight, great funds needed are raised and awareness created by Derby County via the power of football. Starting the corporate social responsibility campaign in 2012, number of volunteers shot up from 12 in 2012 to 37 in 2014.
To date they have shipped two tones of donations from the UK which included computers, books, shoes, clothes and other good. The volunteers stay in Kenya for 10 days to interact with children at St. Trizah’s School
PFL is proud to support
A quote from PFL’S chairman to the DCFC team during the dinner was as follows:
“I have supported the club through thick and thin for forty years and the message is that I am Derby through and through. They had bad luck in the play-off final and lost in the last minute after having most of the game but I am sure that they will put this behind them next season and come on strong again. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the play-offs due to travel commitments to Australia but I certainly hope to get to the Ipro Stadium next season from time to time (bearing in mind that I live in Dubai!)
